Lauren started dancing at the age of 2 on the far North Coast of NSW, and completed major examinations in RAD, BBO and National Character while being taught by her Mother, June Vieira.
​
Lauren received a scholarship from Tanya Pearson to attend Ecole Ballet Studios in Sydney under the direction of Jane Allyn, Ashley Killar and Kit Lethby, and was invited to commence the full time training course. Here she completed her RAD Advanced Exam and performed soloist roles in many works and performed numerous times at the Bodies Festival and the Sydney Opera House. Lauren was soon accepted into the English National Ballet School in London and Munich Ballet Academy.

After moving to Germany, Lauren completed her 3 year Advanced Diploma in Professional Classical Ballet. She was taught by world reknowned teachers, including Prof. Heinz Manniegal, Alexander Prokofiev (who trained with Rudolph Nureyev), Prof. Konstanza Vernon (director) and prima ballerina Elena Pankova. She also preformed many times at the Munich State Opera House including their production of La Bayadere with the Bavarian State Ballet Company.

Lauren then decided to join her fiancé at Circus Krone, where she danced soloist roles and was able to perform with elephants for nearly 4 years.
​
On her return to Australia, Lauren taught locally for 2.5 years before establishing the Vieira Dance School of Excellence in 2012. She has since had 2 beautiful children and become a Registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance. Lauren is a permanent guest teacher at Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre in Sydney and the Canberra Dance Theatre, and still performs locally in events around Canberra.

Lauren holds Senior First Aid and Working with Vulnerable people check (ACT).
